Former Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has delivered a scathing assessment of his old club, calling it “unacceptable” that they have gone two seasons without winning any silverware. Speaking alongside his brother Felix on the channel *Luppen*, Kroos analyzed the recent Clasico, which saw Barcelona clinch the La Liga title.
“Two seasons without winning anything is unacceptable at Real Madrid, period,” Kroos said. “The result on the pitch stems from poor internal relationships. I’m sure they were motivated to win the Clasico, but that wasn’t enough. The defeat was already accepted before the match started. I believe they would have signed for that result before kickoff. The second half was more balanced, but I saw nothing special. Simply, congratulations to Barcelona.”

Kroos also commented on key moments of the match, including Rashford’s goal from a direct free kick. “You can’t say Courtois could have done more. It was a great strike into a very tight space. He took a step toward the other post, but he’s not to blame for the goal.”
Regarding Ferran Torres’ second goal, Kroos highlighted the difference between the two clubs. “The second goal shows the gap between Barcelona and Real Madrid. The players involved in that goal, Dani Olmo and Ferran, might not have started if everyone else were available. The names don’t matter much here because they have a clear game plan and well-defined movement patterns from training.”
