Rewrite your website content

You may use our text on your affiliate site, but it’s a good idea to rework the text we provide before you post it. You will want to individualize our content in your own voice to draw in new customers and Web traffic. Optimizing your site for Google and other search engines might be the most important thing you do as an affiliate.

Give it your own voiceGive it your own voice. Remember that other affiliates also have access to the same pre-existing sales text. Make your affiliate Web site unique so that it stands out from your competitors. A little personal style and flair can go a long way toward making the sale.

Avoid duplicate content. Another reason not to copy our content word for word is SEO, or search engine optimization. For example, if Google finds duplicate pages while it crawls the Web, the duplicate content will not be indexed at all. Also, you may prefer to focus on certain aspects of our business, and repeat certain key words and phrases more than others. Even these relatively small differences put your affiliate site apart from the rest.

Add your own content. Using excerpts is a great way to incorporate our text into your own personal affiliate style. For example, you could expand on a single paragraph from one of our articles to create a new article. You might also take an article and rewrite it so that it contains the same information without duplicate sentences and sentence structure.

Personalize your copy by using your own voice. People visit the same blog repeatedly because they like its content, but also because they connect with the tone and style of the blog. If people read your writing and connect with you as a person, they will be more likely to check back to see what else you might have to say in the future.

Connect to your readers. Just as branding works because people connect with the personality of the brand, visitors to your site will connect with you as a person through your writing. Brand preference is about more than product quality and desirability. Sometimes people choose and stick with one brand over another because of how they perceive the people behind the brand name. The same principle applies to a favorite blog, store or Ecommerce Web site.
